At the Surgical Oncology Department of Sante Plus Hospital, we perform radical operations in the field of cancer surgery, and minimal invasive surgical procedures that have importance in cancer treatment. We adopt a multidisciplinary treatment approach to surgical treatment of cancer. To that end, we hold multidisciplinary patient evaluation meetings for cancer patients during which we discuss the treatments to be employed and determine patient-specific treatment plans.

At Sante Plus Hospital, we use surgical approaches in the treatment of the following types of cancer:

At the General Surgery Department; we focus on the surgery of the thyroid gland diseases (goiter, hyperthyroiditis), breast cancer and benign diseases of the breast, cancer and benign diseases of the esophagus, gastric cancer, colon – rectal tumors, anorectal tumors, benign and malignant liver tumors, cysts, gallbladder and biliary tract tumors, pancreatic cysts and tumors, acute and chronic pancreatitis.

At the Orthopedic Oncology unit within the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department that deals with orthopedic cancers, we carry out medical and surgical treatment of all tumors of the extremities including all bones, muscles and soft tissues, in particular.

At the Gynecological Oncology Unit within the Gynecology and Oncology Department that deals with the gynecological cancers, laparoscopic procedures are performed for the treatment of cervical cancers, ovarian cancers, vulvar-vaginal cancers, and trophoblastic tumors.

At the Ear Nose Throat (ENT) Diseases Department, we surgically treat benign and malignant tumors in the head-neck region except the thyroid gland.

At the Neurosurgical Oncology Department, we surgically treat brain and spinal cord tumors, and brain stem tumors.

Oncology Surgery

A multidisciplinary approach is essential in the treatment of urologic cancer diseases. Aside from renal and testicular cancers, other urologic oncology operations are performed by an experienced and specialized team of urological surgeons.

Surgical treatment of melanoma, a type of skin cancer, is successfully performed at Sante Plus Hospitals.
